There is a lot of information so we have broken it into sections so you can read the parts you find relevant

We have finally re-opened the iZIP shop front.
The downside is that we have not re-opened it in the capacity that we wished we could.
The iZIP shop front has been re-opened with restricted hours. During these hours you can pickup and drop off repair jobs, or discuss or pickup sales.
Despite only being opened for operation outside of the new restricted hours repairs and sales builds will continue behind closed doors.
The new hours are:
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
5 pm in the afternoon to 9 pm in the evening.
During normal business hours the iZIP shop will operate as a closed office with no public access granted.
You can contact us by sending an email to sales@izip.com.au or phoning us and leaving a message on 07 3266 6500.
Internet customers can contact internet sales and support Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 1300 300 056.
The only repair rate currently offered at this point in time is the $66 Flat rate repair. As most are aware the $66 flat rate repair is for labour only, (hardware and or software are additional charges if required), the $66 flat rate is payable regardless of outcome and chargable for each piece of equipment. Also the $66 flat rate is a no-rush, "it's done when it's done" time schedule.
Should you require anything with more urgency then please contact Aspark here: www.aspark.com.au.
Thankyou for your time and continued support.

iZIP **did not** shut down, go bust or go into receivership. We **did not** sell the business or take on board new partners or anything of the sort.
As most people reading this would know, iZIP was primarily run by one person, Ian (that's me). Lots of help came from Les and a few other people. We have huge support and best wishes from local businesses and many regular customers - for this we thank you.
I (we) have accomplished one of our major goals which is local recognition as a quality no bull-shit provider willing to provide help and assistance as one would expect and want.
Focus is now needed for the other directions in both personal and business life. Having the shop open and focusing the majority of my time on repairs was holding back all other directions of growth. I was in a position where I needed extra hands to shield me from the work bench allowing me to expand. This isn't possible without the correct flow of income. The correct flow of income couldn't come without the focus in the right spots of the business, and the focus of the right spots couldn't occur without the shielding hands as mentioned above.
To everyone who was helpful and appreciative a very big thanks. To everyone who was a hindrance, made many attempts to lower the already fantastic rate(s) we had and in general made every effort they could to get something for nothing - there is a nice warm spot you can go to rot.

Yes, iZIP is still in business and now focusing on what is needed to get back to where I want it to be. I have had to put expansion in front of where I want to be, in order to get where I want to be (another catch 22)
We still offer many services as you can find in the menus at the top of this page. We also plan on re-opening at some stage and quite possibly in the exact same location, if not near by.

There are no changes to the internet services provided by me, the price remains, the service and quality remains (those who chose an iZIP internet service will now know that apples aren't apples !)
The only difference in the near future of our internet is that support will be done by a different person, however I am available if needed. (just not for tech-support....again it takes away the focus). Also the billing system will be smoother, along with changes to the payment methods, but no payment method will be forced upon you, leaving all current payment methods in place.

All iZIP products are still warranted. All services other than repairs, on-site and retail via the shop-front will continue as per normal.
Contact during business hours will be near impossible, but can be arranged. Meeting during business hours simply will not occur, nor will on-site service. You can still contac us via our telephone or email. Telephone: 07 3266 6500 and email: sales@izip.com.au

As mentioned above the only services no longer available (and this is only temporary, exact duration is not known) is:
- Retail from the shop-front
- Repairs
- Any face-to-face service that used to occur.
- Anything that requires immediate attention.
- Custom web sites and web-programming
- Any large programming need

Although some of these services may already have been available they were not well known:
- An online shop (containing limited range of hardware and possibly software)
There is only a need to provide you online with the same products we would have provided you with in the shop-front, we do not like or believe in an online shop that sells everything under the sun.
- An online OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) store.
Buy iZIP computers.
- Telecommunications: A bigger push for a wireless internet service worth having
- Online: Pre-fabricated web sites and hosting packages
- Telecommunications: An SMS gateway, this allows you to free up time and save on costs for contacting customers via means of a mobile phone.

As mentioned in the first section above, the shop closed due to the time restrictions imposed on me from all the tech work.
Once I am in a position to pay staff and can find someone who I like, can trust, is competent in what they do and will provide the same level of service as I personally would, without me having to hover over their shoulder all day, then the shop will re-open.
What about Les? Yes Les is that person, however his availability is not known at this stage.
I plan to continue to grow the business but need to focus on the less intense side of the business so that those aspects once in place can support any short-fallings of the shop-front.

Unfortunately I'm not entirely sure if you can.
I do know some people I have been in a business relationship with for a number of years now. None of them have a shop-front, but I can direct you to them, for your repair needs, if they are willing, please contact me.
For those of you who need a business with a shop-front, and possibly the stability and consistency that goes with that I direct you to Aspark. Aspark are based in Caboolture but that is the closest place where I know that someone will look after you and care about your needs not your wallet.
I have been in a business relationship, one way or another for around 5 or 6 years now, with Aspark, dealing primarily with Jordan and I feel confident in their quality of product and service, as well as their ability to seamlessly combine professionalism and friendliness.
ASPARK:
Contact and speak to Jordan, he is a top bloke and will help you out.

Chances are that if you were one of the people I politely directed to go to hell in the very first section you will not be reading this part, you would have closed the window a long time ago.
For the rest of you, I know that most of you will understand why I have closed the shop-front. Above my love of helping you and performing tech work I have a family of soon to be 7 to provide for. The stability they need comes at the cost of having to close the shop at this point in time. It is time to put them above and beyond for a change, it is time to allow iZIP to grow as required to return in full force providing the service and product that I want it to.
I (we) will be back at some stage.
If the cookie starts to crumble in a different direction I may have the iZIP shop re-opened, perhaps with Les at the helm, I am unsure at this stage.
I urge you to stay in contact provide me with email addresses so that I may keep you up-to date. I know the majority of you will eagerly await the return of the shop-front and other services and products.
Although this whole move may be perceived as an arsehole act by some, I will repeat myself again by stating that this is only happening in order to provide you the services and products that we want to.
